The countdown to Christmas is officially on and as we get ready to wrap the presents, there are many parents and guardians who are dedicating every waking hour to look after a child or young person with life threatening illnesses. That’s where Martin House comes in to help families in these struggling situations.

Goals Sheffield decided to dedicate their Christmas Fun Day in aid for Martin House. You will most likely have seen the photos and videos circling around social media, and trust us when we say this, all the children had an absolute blast!

For only £5 entry there was a host of activities available such as a bouncy castle and soft play. The children could try to name the elf and a range of raffles were on display. Not only that, the children were surprised by Billy Sharp, Sheffield United’s very own striker. He attended the day showing the children some skills, playing pass the parcel and overall just ensuring the kids had a blast on the day, many of whom were star struck (who wouldn’t).

After the event closed, the team at Goals Sheffield could safely say that they raised a massive £300 for the charity.
